<description>Interesting observations. As a writer and lover of books, I've made a practice of giving every kid in my family (including my own, of course), a book for Christmas. Always carefully selected for something I thought they would like and inscribed with thought. A few years ago, though, a couple of my nieces flat told me I really shouldn't bother, then a nephew on my wife's side of the family said the same thing. All three stopped reading (if they ever did) when they hit their teens. It was, to say the least, discouraging. On the other hand, I have two younger nieces who devour books--and not just Harry Potter. They even talk about them! It will be interesting to see what happens when they "hit the wall" of their teen years.

<description>Great Information! As a member of the Exit Planning Institute's Board, I can attest to much of the statistical data stated.
If you are a Baby Boomer and you own a privately held company you must begin your exit planning sooner than later. The penalty for procrastination will be a reduction in the value realized for your company. The law of supply and demand shows no mercy.
