- When you are older you do not need as many friends. This is just my opinion, but I believe that the vast majority of younger people spend more time with friends because they are in the process of figuring out who they are and what direction they want to take during their adult life. Older people are more set in their ways and already know their likes and dislikes.
- You have different priorities when you are older. Therefore, when you take on a friend as an older adult you will typically spend time together in a very different way than you did when you were younger.
