If you’ve spent a lot of time with your grandchildren as they’ve been growing up though, you’ve probably established a very strong bond with them that’s special. This strong bond can help, because the grandchildren will feel that spending time with Grandma or Grandpa is usually a lot of fun, so they’re more likely to be open to the idea of continuing this relationship.

Even if you do have a close relationship with your grandchildren once they reach the age range of about ten to fourteen though, you may find yourself struggling for ideas of fun activities to do together.
